BLACK & VEATCH HONG KONG LIMITED is seeking applicants to fill the following site staff posts for the East Kowloon Drainage Improvement - Package C Project (Contract No. DC/2007/05). The works of the Contract involve the construction of approximately 3.7km of drains with diameters ranging from 450mm to 2,100mm and miscellaneous drainage works at Wong Tai Sin, Shun Lee, Kwun Tong, Yau Tong, To Kwa Wan and Mongkok.
A. RESIDENT ENGINEER (Ref: EK/RE/29/2007) Candidates should be a Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with relevant experience.
B. ASSISTANT RESIDENT ENGINEERS (Ref: EK/ARE/30/2007) Candidates should have satisfied the academic requirements for Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Civil Discipline, and have relevant experience satisfying the training requirements for Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Civil Discipline.
C. INSPECTOR OF WORKS (Ref: EK/IOW/31/2007) Candidates should (a) have a Diploma from a technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, with at least 7 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or (b) have a Higher Certificate from a technical college in Hong Kong or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, with 8 years' relevant experience including 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or (c) have at least 4 years' appropriate experience as AIOW in a Government or quasi Government project.
D. ASSISTANT INSPECTOR OF WORKS (Ref: EK/AIOW/32/2007) Candidates should (a) have a Diploma from a technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or (b) have a Higher Certificate from a technical college in Hong Kong or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, with 4 years' relevant experience including 1 year's relevant post-qualification experience or with 4 years' relevant experience including 1 year's experience as Works Supervisor I in a Government or quasi Government project; or (c) have 3 years' appropriate experience as Works Supervisor I in a Government or quasi Government project.
E. SURVEY OFFICER (QUANTITY) (Ref: EK/SO(Q)/33/2007) Candidates should (a) have a Diploma from a technical institute in Hong Kong or Higher Certificate from a technical college in Hong Kong, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline; or (b) have a Certificate from a technical college in Hong Kong in an appropriate discipline, and have attained 5 passes in HKCEE including Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) and Grade C in Mathematics, with 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience.
F. WORKS SUPERVISORS I / II (Ref: EK/WS/35/2007) Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience on site formation works and (a) have a Certificate from a technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent in an appropriate discipline; or (b) have completed a technician apprenticeship. Applicants for Works Supervisor I post should possess at least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience.
H.
