Intern or co-op with Black & Veatch and you can be a part of making a difference for communities worldwide and you’ll start building a rewarding career. You’ll be able to think bigger, go further, gain the rewards and reach higher at Black & Veatch. We offer paid three month summer employment and extended co-op opportunities to college sophomores, juniors and seniors in many different areas. You will gain valuable real world experience, learn from top professionals in your field and be a part of Black & Veatch’s mission of Building a World of Difference®.

The summer internship and co-op program includes many various planned activities including:

  • Each week a different division or department will be spotlighted. Managers will explain their group's function in the company, what you need to do to achieve success and how to prepare in college for what you will experience on the job.
  • Plant and/or project site visits providing the opportunity to see the full scope of various projects in the major industries served by Black & Veatch.
  • Seniors will be asked to give a presentation. This presentation will enable the student to express and explain what has been learned and experienced through the summer. It is also a chance for the underclassmen to benefit from learning what is to come in the summers ahead.
