Black & Veatch specialises in projects that improve the quality of life. We
enhance the standard of drinking water supplies, work on flood prevention and ensure
the safe treatment and disposal of wastewater, for example. An estimated 20 per
cent of the world’s population served by community supplies drinks water from
systems designed, constructed or supported by Black & Veatch.
Black & Veatch provides consultancy, design, procurement and construction services
primarily for clients in the water and environmental sectors. Following the acquisition
of MJ Gleeson’s water business in October 2006, we are able to offer clients
a fully integrated service, from conceptualisation through to commissioning, on
a scale unmatched in the UK.
At both project and programme level, our ability to recognise clients’ needs
and tailor a service that meets them is evidenced by the fact that Black & Veatch
has long-term partnering agreements with virtually all of the UK’s water and
sewerage utilities, as well as the Environment Agency, the body tasked by government
with protecting the environment.
