Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand are major markets with combined solar capacity additions expected to triple in the next five years, while wind capacity additions are expected to grow five-fold in the same period.According to Black & Veatch, three of these, Taiwan, Philippines and Vietnam could become the fastest-growing markets for renewable energy in the Asian region.

The group chose Wallis-Lage to receive its Suzanne Jenniches Upward Mobility Award. Adriana Porter, another strong advocate for women in STEM at Black & Veatch, was also honored by SWE with its Distinguished New Engineer Award.

Black & Veatch today hosted the 22nd edition of its Charity Golf Tournament in support of Children’s Mercy. Proceeds from the tournament and company giving totaling $350,000 were donated to Children’s Mercy. This year’s event is helping to fulfill a five-year pledge of $2.1 million made in 2015 to help expand services at the Center for Pediatric Genomic Medicine to include childhood cancers. The annual golf event and company donations have now surpassed $3.7 million since its inception.
