Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics benefit from record-setting $275,000 contribution from 2010 Black & Veatch Charity Golf Tournament

Black & Veatch announced today that its 14th annual charity golf tournament has raised a record $275,000 for Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, headquartered in Kansas City.

The tournament, which has raised nearly $1.5 million since its inception, was held Monday at the Shadow Glen Golf Club in Olathe, Kan., with 168 participants and more than 110 sponsors.

Transmission project will deliver reliable power to more than 500,000 PG&E customers

Black & Veatch has completed a $40 million transmission project that will deliver power from the new Colusa Generating Station to approximately 500,000 of Pacific Gas & Electric Company’s (PG&E) customers.

Future water supplies seriously challenged, say industry experts
