James (Jim) Moos
President, Technology, Industrial & Governments
Jim Moos is President of Technology, Industrial & Governments (TIG) where he provides planning, program management, engineering and construction services across communications infrastructure, distributed infrastructure, data centers, commercial enterprises, integrated facilities and industrial manufacturing. The sector also supports the company’s Federal business and Mission Critical solutions, ensuring continuity in Black & Veatch’s partnerships with the U.S. federal government and allied clients while positioning the business for continued growth. Jim joined Black & Veatch in July 2024 with more than 30 years of experience leading engineering, security, infrastructure and digital businesses, driving sustained top- and bottom-line performance. Most recently, he served as group president of the Civil Group at Leidos, Inc., where he also held roles as senior vice president and chief operating officer. Earlier in his career, Jim served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program. He holds a Master of Science in industrial hygiene from the University of Central Missouri, a Bachelor of Science in applied science and technology from Thomas Edison State University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
