Cohort:

  • Benchmark Labs, Inc Provides AI-based weather forecasts, recommendations, and alerts for use in operations planning and field construction. Technology leverages in-situ sensors to provide actionable and accurate forecasts tailored to a specific location.

  • Cyphra Autonomy Developing the robotic workforce of the future for construction, starting with PAL (Precision Autonomous Laborer). PAL is a robotic hauler that is simple to operate, built for the field, and improves both efficiency and safety on the jobsite.

  • KEWAZO Building the Physical AI platform for heavy industry. Heavy industry spends $2T+ annually on maintenance and construction. Kewazo automates this space with robotics and AI, starting with vertical material movement by replacing cranes and manual handling.

  • Leaf Automation Trains proprietary machine learning models that automate complex CAD engineering tasks without using training data, starting with solar electrical design and expanding across construction verticals where automation has been previously infeasible.

  • Orbyfy Translates climate risks into climate forces to determine actual impacts and damages on buildings, infrastructures, and homes. Empowering organizations with explainable, city-scale simulations that translate climate hazards into actionable insights—used for safeguarding the grid, underwriting portfolios, or fortifying buildings. Making climate risk impact data accessible, as easy as searching for an address.

2024 Carbon dioxide removal (CDR)

We teamed up with RTI International, a leading independent research institute, to provide technical and commercialization support to startups developing technologies in Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Removal (CDR) and Direct Air Capture (DAC). The program was recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) with a Direct Air Capture (DAC) Pre-Commercial Energy Program for Innovation Clusters (EPIC) Prize.

Cohort:

  • Aeon Blue uses seawater and renewable energy to make a drop-in replacement for fossil fuel while capturing and storing CO2 from air.

  • Ebb Carbon is pioneering a new marine carbon dioxide removal solution by enhancing the ocean’s natural ability to safely store CO2 with an electrochemical technology.

  • Rhoic is developing electrospun nanomaterials – exploring their use in CO2 removal and ability to process huge amounts of air quickly, with minimal energy, and at low costs.

  • Heimdal builds machines that use mineral sorbents to permanently capture and store atmospheric CO2.

  • Holocene is a DAC technology developer and CDR service provider building liquid-based, continuous and low-temperature systems.

  • Parallel Carbon uses renewable power with integrated DAC and water electrolysis processes to reduce costs and maximize value.
