Black & Veatch has been recognized by United Way of Greater Kansas City with the Waymaker™ Corporate Champion Award, honoring organizations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to strengthening communities through philanthropy, service and civic engagement.

The recognition reflects Black & Veatch’s longstanding partnership with United Way and the continued dedication of its employee-owners to supporting initiatives that improve the lives of individuals and families in the communities where they live and work. The award was presented during United Way of Greater Kansas City’s annual Waymaker™ Awards celebration on Friday, July 16. For more than 35 years, Black & Veatch and its employee-owners have supported United Way through annual giving campaigns, volunteer efforts and community-focused initiatives. Since 1999, the company, its professionals and the Black & Veatch Foundation have contributed nearly $30 million to United Way organizations across the United States, helping advance programs focused on youth opportunity, financial security, healthy communities and community resiliency.

“This recognition belongs to our employee-owners, who continually demonstrate what it means to be engaged members of their communities. Their willingness to invest their time, talent and resources in helping others is an important part of our culture and our purpose and we are honored to receive the United Way Waymaker Corporate Champion Award to reflect this commitment.”
