IgniteX Cleantech Accelerator

Black & Veatch’s IgniteX Cleantech Accelerator seeks partnership with startups focused on Renewable and Distributed Energy, Mobility, Agricultural Technology, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, and other technological processes adding value to engineering services. The program will include equity awards, a 75-day period of collaboration with the Black & Veatch team and program supporters, and a demo day in November.  

Businesses who choose to participate in the IgniteX Cleantech Accelerator will gain valuable training and insight to grow their business through collaboration with a top global infrastructure provider, as well as exposure and networking opportunities with an experienced network of investors, supporters and clients in Kansas City and around the world.

New Business Incubator

The GA incubator is a pipeline of growth initiatives that are funded, piloted, and launched (or abandoned). The GA provides resources to help entrepreneurs and growth initiatives achieve scalable market success and serves as a central point for external partnerships. Episode 16's of the 21st Century Agriculture series features real-world ‘ag-startup’ NextGen Agriculture that is breaking ground in providing infrastructure solutions to rapidly expanding indoor agricultural applications.

The Good Food Institute

GFI is dedicated to accelerating the growth of plant-based meat and clean meat – two promising emerging food technologies. Zack Olson, co-founder of Black & Veatch’s NextGen Agriculture business joined leaders from life sciences, chemistry and other companies to discuss how growing the business of clean meat can leverage the knowledge of these parallel industries to accelerate progress.
