Black & Veatch appoints Rajiv Menon to lead India business

Global engineering, consulting and construction company names new MD for operations in one of the world's fastest growing infrastructure markets

Black & Veatch, a leading provider of critical infrastructure, has appointed Rajiv Menon as new managing director for its India business.

Rajiv joined the company in 2013 as Executive Director of Commercial and Business Development. Since then the company has played an increasingly significant role in ground-breaking national and local government, and private sector, infrastructure projects across the oil and gas, power, water sectors. Rajiv has strong techno-commercial acumen, and chemical engineering and financial management degrees from reputed Indian universities.

"Our expertise lies in energy, water and telecommunications infrastructure. So programmes like Gas4India, Swachh Bharat and the Smart Cities Mission mean we are excellently placed to support India's progress," Rajiv said. "To lead the business at this significant stage in the country's development is both a great privilege and opportunity," Rajiv added.

"Central to our growth is Black & Veatch's ability to tailor international best practice to India's needs, and deliver these world-class solutions with Indian expertise," according to Rajiv. Major current projects include liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminals for Swan LNG at Jafrabad and IOCL at Ennore. These engineer, procure and construct (EPC) projects are respectively India's first floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), and first-of-its-kind import terminal on India’s east coast.

Black & Veatch is also providing consultancy services for Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai's (MCGM) Malad zone wastewater treatment facility. The project, once commissioned, is likely to be one of India’s largest in terms of treatment capacity. The company is also developing India's largest recycled water master plan for MCGM.
