Bui to lead Black & Veatch water industry consulting unit

Expertise in asset management, cost of service issues will help meet complex delivery challenges for clients

Black & Veatch today announced that Ann Bui has been named Managing Director for water services in the company's Management Consulting business. She is based in Los Angeles. Bui will guide sales, marketing and performance management.

Bui is a recognized authority on organizational, financial and cost of service solutions. She has authored numerous publications on management issues in the water industry. She was the editor of the 2012 book Financial Management for Water Utilities: Principles of Finance, Accounting and Management Controls.

Bui joined Black & Veatch in 1989. She has directed numerous asset management and financial analyses for public and private utilities. Her portfolio includes comprehensive studies of water rate structures, as well as alternative water supply options, for the cities including San Diego. Her analysis for the City of Phoenix resulted in significant savings in water and wastewater treatment costs.

Bui is a member of the American Water Works Association. She is chair of the group’s Finance, Accounting and Management Controls Committee. She is a member of the Water Environment Federation and the National Association of Clean Water Agencies.
