The ACW Pensacola is a former wood treating facility that is listed on the National Priorities List (NPL).  The investigation and restoration at the site has been ongoing since 1983.  The soil and groundwater at the Site are contaminated with creosote, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), pentachlorophenol (PCP), and dioxins. 

Black & Veatch conducted a neighborhood soil study at the Site in 1997 under a previous contract with EPA.  In 2007, under the Remedial Action Contract, EPA issued Black & Veatch a task order to conduct the Operable Unit (OU) 3 site investigation, prepare the OU3 Focused Remedial Investigation (RI).
