Black & Veatch provided engineering and procurement support services to design two new greenfield 35kV substations, Block Island Substation and Dillon’s Corner Substation, as well as retrofit projects at Wakefield Substation and West Kingston Substation, located in Washington County, Rhode Island. These projects provided the infrastructure to connect America’s first offshore wind farm to National Grid’s sub-transmission network.
