COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update

To our clients:

With the rapid expansion of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) further impacting global operations, I would like to share an update regarding Black & Veatch’s continuity plans as we work to provide services and meet your ongoing needs.

Black & Veatch is open for business and we intend to remain so. The lifeline infrastructure services you provide have never been more critical. With a drastic increase in teleworking and virtual communication needs, your customers are relying heavily on communications networks, both to work and to consume news and media. People are evaluating the changing energy requirements in their homes and businesses while working to stay abreast of the state of their local water supply.  Our professionals are here to support your organizations in providing these services while we all work through this unprecedented time.

While the scale of the pandemic is unprecedented, we have embraced new ways to work and innovate, minimizing the impacts to our clients as much as possible.  This includes:

  • Aggressively leveraging the geographic distribution of our global workforce to provide 24/7 support for our clients.
  • Deploying remote and virtual-access productivity tools and software to facilitate teaming capabilities.
  • Relying on decades of experience as a global solutions provider to remain connected to to our clients, regardless of location.
  • We are engaged with the federal government, state governments and local healthcare organizations to collaborate on ways that our Distributed Infrastructure expertise can be utilized for development of facilities to rapidly support the need for additional care facilities.

We continue to follow the recommendations and directives of local, state, national and international governments and health organizations, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. With health and safety as our top priority, we are focused on social distancing, limiting group sizes and taking other steps to minimize interaction and virus transmission. We are encouraging our professionals to work from home, restricting access to active construction sites, conducting temperature checks and screenings, and conducting virtual group meetings.

We will continue to do all we can to be of service as we work to deliver the strategic, sustainable infrastructure that helps humanity thrive through these challenging times.

Thank you for your support.
